Penguins alternate captain Evgeni Malkin made Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers very interesting, as the center was called for 6 penalties throughout the game.
The First Three Penalties
Malkin's first penalty was for hooking over 7 minutes into the second period. Malkin was again called for hooking exactly 3 minutes after the first hooking penalty. Then, with a little over 5 minutes left in the period, Malkin was called once again, this time for high-sticking.
Missed Call Leads to Game Misconduct
As Penguins fans know, Malkin is no stranger to showing his emotions when he doesn't like a missed call.
While it wasn't announced, Malkin's was given a game misconduct after receiving a 10 minute misconduct for arguing a missed call with the referees in the third period. Malkin's ejection came nearly two minutes into the third period.

Can you blame Malkin for arguing the missed penalty when he himself was called for high-sticking the previous period?
"'He's obviously an emotional guy, and the stakes are high right now. His emotions got the best of him in that circumstance,' Sullivan continued. 'Geno and I will have a conversation about that. He's got to do a better job of controlling his emotions, because we need him.'"
Despite Malkin's ejection, the Penguins remained victorious, capturing a 4-2 victory against the Flyers. This victory moves them into the second wild card spot in the playoffs.
Should Malkin have been given a game misconduct?
