Matt Duchene is one of the most tenacious players in the league, and he will do anything for his team to win. Unfortunately, last week, this meant a big sacrifice.
Duchene Loses Tip of Finger Blocking a Shot
Matt Duchene's resurgence in Nashville has been great to watch, as in the past two seasons he has been on the edge of a point per game.
He is also a great defensive presence, with good stickwork and shot blocking.
After blocking a shot last week, he lost the tip of his finger:

This gruesome injury is just a testament to how perseverant Duchene is, as he is set to return soon as the Predators desperately try to squeeze into the playoffs.
He may be down a fingertip, but he has quite the story to tell!
