BREAKING: Penguins Sign Intriguing Player
The Pittsburgh Penguins have made an intriguing signing.
Penguins Bring In Abbandonato
It was announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Peter Abbandonato to a PTO.
Chicago Wolves forward Peter Abbandonato will be heading to Pittsburgh #Pens training camp on a PTO.
Abbandonato has yet to play an NHL game but he has performed well at the AHL level posting 46 points in 66 games last year with the Laval Rocket, the Canadiens AHL affiliate.
He is currently under contract with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL but if he is able to impress enough with the Penguins, we could watch him earn a contract from them.
At 25 years old, Abbandonato still has time to make the NHL but unless something changes soon, he may run out of runway.
The most notable accolade of his career was winning the Jean Belevieu award in the QMJHL as the player with the most post.
