A former NHL head coach has been suspended by the WHL and is currently under investigation.

Constantine Suspended By The WHL

It was just announced that the WHL has suspended coach Kevin Constantine.

The Western Hockey League announced today, Kevin Constantine, Head Coach of the Wenatchee Wild, has been suspended pending an independent investigation into alleged violations of WHL Regulations and Policies.

Former #NHL head coach Kevin Constantine has been suspended after a complaint has been filed about his conduct as coach of the WHL's Wenatchee Wild.

Constantine formerly coached the San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the New Jersey Devils.

He was the Penguins head coach from 1997-2000 but was replaced by Herb Brooks.

Constantine is a controversial figure and has difficulty finding jobs in hockey but always seemingly gets one, even if that means he has to coach in Korea or Hungary.

He was set to return to North America to coach in the WHL but after a player complaint, the league launched an investigation resulting in his suspension.

We now patiently await the WHL's final ruling after the investigation is complete.
