Tony DeAngelo has now been punished for his blatant misconduct yesterday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Department of Player Safety hasn't gone easy on him.
DeAngelo Suspended
After getting involved in a net-front scrum against the Tampa Bay Lightning, DeAngelo decided to make his presence known by blatantly spearing Corey Perry.

Here is the video proof, which is pretty telling:
-
The Department of Player Safety has opted to give DeAngelo a two game suspension, which will hopefully make him learn his lesson.

What This Means For the Flyers
As the Flyers continue their hopes for a top pick in the draft, this could almost be a good thing, as DeAngelo patrols top-pairing minutes for the team.
We can all also hope that he'll return a better-behaved player, but knowing his track record, it's very unlikely.
Be better, Tony DeAngelo.
Do you think Tony DeAngelo is a dirty player?
