Tkachuk reportedly being shopped ahead of trade deadline
In probably the most unexpected news this week, Spittin Chicklets host dropped a bombshell regarding the future of a captain on the Canadian team and the possibility of a potential trade.
Ottawa Senators shopping Captain Brady Tkachuk
The senators have most definitely not exceeded or even met with expectations this year. After acquiring Jakub Chychrun, Dominik Kubalik and Vladimir Tarasenko, the consensus in Ottawa was clear with one goal in mind. Playoffs. Time to scratch that, with only 52 points this season, the playoff dream is far from happening.
In a bombshell of a tweet, Former NHLer Ryan Whitney said that the Senators could be shopping Brady Tkachuk.
As unbelievable as it is, we've seen blockbusters like this happen, Brady's brother Matthew Tkachuk got dealt in a summer deal with the Florida Panthers after dropping 100 points!
It's clear the Senators management brass knows the value they can get in a Tkachuk deal.
With new management in Ottawa, you never know what their intentions may be, and their general feeling about a player. Unlike Dorion, Staios may not feel the connection between Ottawa and Tkachuk like former GM Pierre Dorion did.
