The Ottawa Senators have just announced that they have released Josh Bailey from his PTO.
Roster update: The #Sens have released forward Josh Bailey from his PTO.
Bailey has had an interesting offseason after being traded from the Islanders to the Blackhawks who instantly bought him out. He signed a PTO with the Senators in hopes of earning a contract but tight money and poor performance means he will not earn a contract.
Bailey has played his entire career with the Islanders having over 1000 games with the team.
If he cannot earn a contract elsewhere, his hockey career very well may be over.
