Recently, it was shared that Jonathan Drouin was unexpectedly absent from today's practice session.

At the time, we were unsure of the cause, speculating it might have been due to a treatment day. However, that was not the case, as the reason was entirely different.

Head coach it appears Martin St-Louis has disclosed the following:

"Jonathan Drouin remained at the hotel as he was late for the team meeting this morning. He may be excluded from tomorrow's match, but Martin St-Louis has not confirmed this."

Via Renaud Lavoie, TVA Sports

St-Louis emphasized the significance of adhering to this team rule, calling it "non-negotiable."

"Martin St-Louis mentions that Jonathan Drouin missed a team meeting, resulting in him not being allowed to practice today and potentially not playing tomorrow. He labeled it as 'non-negotiable'."

Coming off a 9-5 loss to the Florida Panthers, it makes sense that St-Louis would crack down on not attending a meeting.

It appears that Drouin has lost some favour with his head coach.
