The Montreal Canadiens have just announced that they'd signed Cole Caufield to a contract extension. The news comes after weeks of speculation regarding Caufield's potential contract extension, as he was about to enter restricted free agency.
Caufield Gets Paid
Caufield and the Canadiens have agreed to an 8-year contract extension that will pay the winger $7.85 million annually.
The average annual value (AAV) is the same as Montreal captain Nick Suzuki's contract, which makes sense, as the two are extremely close.
Habs fans should be happy today!
