Oilers Evander Kane likely out, Corey Perry in for Game 3 of the Finals
It appears that Evander Kane will be replaced by Corey Perry in the Edmonton Oilers lineup as they face the Florida Panthers in game three of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Kris Knoblauch held a press conference this morning in which he did not want to reveal his lineup changes for tonight's game:
"Kris Knoblauch was asked directly about the Oilers' lineup tonight for Game 3, specifically the status of Evander Kane and Darnell Nurse, and if Corey Perry will be back in.
«You're gonna have to wait to find out,» the Oilers coach said." Kane likely out; Perry, Ceci, and Ryan in for game 3 against the Florida Panthers
Evander Kane missed practice earlier today for the second straight time. Yesterday, he had to leave the ice after a conversation with his head coach:
"Kris Knoblauch having an extended conversation with Evander Kane as the Oilers get set to begin practice. Lasted almost 5 minutes. Kane left the ice right after the chat"
Reports are starting to emerge about Kane's status for game three, and it looks like he won't be in the lineup tonight.
In that case, the veteran Corey Perry should be sent in to replace him.
The defenseman Cody Ceci should also get back in the lineup, taking Philip Broberg's spot, and Derek Ryan will fill in for Sam Carrick:
"#LetsGoOilers lineup changes
Cody Ceci, Derek Ryan & Corey Perry are IN & Philip Broberg, Sam Carrick & Evander Kane are OUT vs the #TimeToHunt tonight in game 3 of the #StanleyCupPlayoffs"
With their backs quickly approaching the wall, the Oilers must win tonight if they want to avoid going into an elimination game on Saturday in front of their fans.
