Edmonton Oilers Center Connor McDavid has won the 2024 Conn Smythe Trophy as the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Most Valuable Player.

McDavid, 27, won the Conn Smythe despite the Florida Panthers winning the Stanley Cup in seven games, dominating the playoffs with 8 goals, 34 assists & 42 points in just 23 games. McDavid's 42 is fourth all time in playoff points.

McDavid 34 assists was the most in NHL playoffs history, passing Wayne Gretzky, who had 31 with the Oilers in 1987.

In the regular season, McDavid had 32 goals, 100 assists & 132 points in 76 games, becoming the first NHLer to score 100 assists since Wayne Gretzky had 122 in 1990-91.

McDavid is nominated for the Hart Trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player.
