Stanley Cup Champion Patrick Kane officially considering signing with a Canadian team
The Edmonton Oilers' season isn't going well. With a 2-7-1 record, we're far from what McDavid promised fans when they got eliminated from the last playoffs.
Nothing seems to be working in Edmonton. But things could change in the next few weeks.
Oilers to Add Top Player?
Elliotte Friedman reported that Patrick Kane could be interested in signing in Edmonton.
Even if the Oilers don't have enough money available to make the deal happen, when Patrick Kane tells you he wants to play for your team, you create the space.
Coming back from a massive surgery, at 34 years old, Kane probably won't seek a huge contract, making the move easier in Edmonton.
With Draisaitl, McDavid and Kane, the Oilers could possibly bounce back from their poor start of the season and push for a playoff spot.
The Timetable for Kane's Return
According to Elliotte Friedman, Kane should be back on the ice in the next few weeks and he's starting to look at where he'd like to sign:
"I think it's possible he's going to start narrowing down some of the teams that he's interested in and are interested in him," Friedman said during Saturday Headlines on Hockey Night in Canada. "I still think he's a few weeks away from playing, but I think we're getting at least a few days closer to him narrowing down the list."
The whole hockey world is eager to know where Kane will play next!
