Petry's Struggles Continue
Jeff Petry's tenure with the Detroit Red Wings is off to a rocky start. In 6 games played, he has just 2 points and is a minus two. The 35-year-old is a shell of his former self currently. At one point there was Norris Trophy hype for Petry when he was a top-pair defenseman with the Montreal Canadiens.

Now the former Norris contender has reached a new rock bottom in his career. After a difficult start it looks as though Petry will be coming out of the lineup.
Petry Hits Rock Bottom
A post on X from Daily Faceoff revealed the new projected lines for the Detroit Red Wings in their next game. The lineup has Petry missing for the first time during his Red Wings tenure indicating he will be a healthy scratch.
Holl will replace Petry on the #LGRW blueline. Projected lineup vs. FLA.
Former Maple Leaf Justin Holl will step into the lineup for the veteran. If this becomes a regular occurrence for Petry as a scratch it could spell the beginning of the end of his career in the NHL.
