Insider reveals likely timeline for Corey Perry's return to the NHL
A few months after the Chicago Blackhawks cut ties with veteran forward Corey Perry and terminated his contract following an incident at a team event, the timeline for his return in the NHL was revealed.
The NHL announced earlier in January Perry's eligibility to sign with a contract. Now, an insider said during a podcast that the veteran could sign an NHL deal much sooner than anticipated.
Speaking on the Got Yer Back podcast, Mike Johnston shared that he believes Perry would get many offers from teams and could join the NHL within the next ten days.
Pierre LeBrun, another renowned insider, shared the same opinion, saying he believes Perry will definitely sign before the trade deadline on March 8th.
«It's tricky, you might have to take a leap of faith and trust that there's nothing else without actually knowing. But I still think, from what we know about sports, he will be in the NHL.»
