Ron MacLean Under Fire For a Ridiculous Unreasonable Suggestion

The captaincy of a team is an incredibly important role. This distinction is almost solely given to skaters, as is dictated by the CBA, with the one exception being Roberto Luongo wearing the 'C' unofficially in Vancouver.

There's a very short list of goalies in the league that would be thought of for this distinction, such as Carey Price and Henrik Lundkvist if they were still playing. One name that definitely doesn't come to mind is Jakob Makrstrom.

Marks from has been very up and down in Calgary, which isn't what anybody is looking for out of a captain. MacLean suggested it nonetheless:

It's safe to say this is one of the more ridiculous and illogical things MacLean has said in a while, which is impressive considering he routinely makes terrible takes.
