Darryl Sutter was fired of the Calgary Flames right after the season ended.

Not only did he fail to lead them to the playoffs, players didn't like working for him. His outdated style and personality made him more enemies than friends.

Earlier today, some details have surfaced about another incident involving Sutter.

Sutter Accused of "Physical Contacts" on a Player

In a recent article published on The Athletic, we learn that Sutter allegedly touched a player on the bench.

"He made derisive comments, both publicly and privately, seemingly to single out players and in some cases, to embarrass them. In November, the franchise launched an internal investigation to probe an incident after Sutter allegedly made physical contact with a player on the bench during a game.

By November, the team became aware of an incident in which he was alleged to have made physical contact with a player on the bench during a game, according to three league sources, who were granted anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the matter. Players and staff members were interviewed about the alleged incident. According to multiple league sources, the player told his teammates he did not find the contact to have crossed a line and did not want to see the matter escalated."

These are serious accusations towards Sutter.

Even if the player didn't think the coach crossed a line, Sutter's reputation takes another hit.

The toxic environment he created will follow him and it wouldn't be surprising if he never coaches again in the NHL.

As seen on Blade of Steel - Darryl Sutter was reportedly fired after erratic behavior and after being investigated for 'making physical contact' with a player
