A worrying update emerged on the health of Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak ahead of the 2024-25 NHL season.
Only a few weeks after his team was eliminated in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs at the hands of the Florida Panthers, David Pastrnak flew home to Czechia and scored the game-winning goal at the World Championship Finals for his country.
-
Following that win, Pastrnak shared major details about his health. He stated that he was told he'd need a hip surgery following the Bruins playoffs run, but thanks to the help of a professional, he feels better and probably won't need surgery.
Read the interview here:
"Did you come to the world championship in good health?
- No, I have a hip. We'll see what happens. Before the championship, I was told that I would definitely have to have surgery. But what Professor Kolář demonstrated here with me... I owe him a big thank you, I haven't felt this good in eight months. I don't know what kind of magic hands he has, but I really haven't skated as well as I did at the WC in a long time.
- Are you still at risk of surgery?
- We'll see. Mr. Kolář says no, so I will believe him."
-
We don't know yet it Pastrnak will end up requiring surgery, but if he gets one, he could miss most of the 2024-25 season.
Do you think the Boston Bruins could finish in the top 3 teams of the Atlantic Division if David Pastrnak undergoes hip surgery and misses most of the 2024-25 season?
