Former Boston Bruins announcer Jack Edwards is known for always speaking his mind and recently he decided to give his opinion of NHL officiating.
Referees in sports are always controversial regardless of what sport or who is playing. Every single game a fan can come away and think the refs missed something. During the Boston Bruins' most recent game against the Montreal Canadiens, Jack Edwards shared several complaints about the officiating.
So Primeau thrusts off his line and Brazeau goes to inside ice, wrote Edwards on Reddit. If you draw a line to the sky from the crease, the contact comes outside the crease. Next goal Montreal is going to appeal that a Bruin had a garlic garnish on his pregame and Primeau couldn't do his job because of the Bruin's bad breath.
The play in question that had Jack Edwards so upset can be seen below.
Then Jack Edwards would once again complain about another call later in the game. This time a penalty called on Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov. Jack Edwards believes Nikita Zadorov was just doing what he needed to.
AND MONTREAL GETS ANOTHER CALL BECAUSE ZADOROV DID HIS JOB! wrote Edwards in capital letters.
With Jack Edwards now retired it is unclear how often he will be active on social media or talking about games. One thing is clear when he does comment on games it will be from a Boston Bruins point of view.
