David Pastrnak Shares His Thoughts on Fraser Minten After Bruins Debut
He recently made his
debut with the Bruins and while he didn't make too much of an offensive impact, there's a huge reason to be excited about what Minten could bring to the Bruins in the near future.
David Pastrnak seems to be certainly excited about things, and had nothing but high praise for the youngster after his debut:
He's sitting next to me so we get to chat a little bit. He seems like a really nice kid, super humble. He had a couple chances and his big body moves pretty well. Can't wait to see more of him and happy he got the first game as a Bruin under his belt.
Fraser Minten Slowly Turning Into Capable NHL Player
Minten, known for being more of a defensive forward as opposed to a purely offensive player can still add some production on the scoresheet and with Boston undergoing an identity change with so many new faces expected to be entering over the next few seasons.
He has NHL experience and had a 15-game stretch with the Maple Leafs at certain points this season, and while he showed a lot of promise, it was more of a stop-gap option than anything that would stick.
He does have four points though and has clearly shown he is able to hang on the bottom six at least for now until he grows into a more well-rounded player.
Carlo, for what it's worth has been great for the Maple Leafs, and while the initial discussion was whether or not the team overpaid, that argument feels moot now given how good he's been.
It sucks that Toronto is going to miss out on Fraser Minten, who very well could end up blossoming into the star the team hoped he would be in their jersey.
But Boston gets to reap those benefits now, and let's just hope Minten doesn't hold any grudges and decide to go off when he faces his former club, and David Pastrnak couldn't be happier.
