The Boston Bruins have had some fantastic players in the 21st century, and while many focus on the likes of Bergeron, David Krejci has been just as important to this franchise.
In 16 years with the team, Krejci has played in 1,032 games, racking up 231 goals and 786 points along the way, and now it appears his retirement is imminent.
While it was great to have Krejci back in 2022-23 after leaving the team the year prior, it's clear that the future is a youth movement in Boston, and with Krejci and Bergeron gone, this is a team that can now build around their talented young players.
Per the report, Krejci could still represent Czechia at the 2024 World Championships, his NHL days are over, and after a prolific 16-year career, the Bruins will be without another key veteran next year.
