Bruins Make Major Cap Move To Afford Tyler Bertuzzi
It's been a busy day in Boston.
After acquiring
Tyler Bertuzzi in a trade with the Detroit Red Wings, Don Sweeney put pen to paper with superstar
David Pastrnak on an $90-million extension.
His latest move of the day is probably his least exciting. To make the salary cap work with Bertuzzi, the Bruins placed Taylor Hall on LTIR.
Hall's injury appears to be more serious than it once seemed, and he is seeking a second opinion for his options. This could mean surgery is in play.
This could equally be some sort of '
Nikita Kucherov' situation, where the Bruins re-activate him come playoff time.
Hopefully he'll recover quick, as the Bruins look poised for a Stanley Cup.
