The Boston Bruins had plenty of work to do heading into this off-season, and after the retirement of their long-time captain, the next step was the arbitration hearing of a standout goaltender.
Jeremy Swayman

It's been known for a while that Swayman and the Bruins were heading into arbitration, and recently, it was revealed by Elliotte Friedman just how far apart the two sides were.
-
Swayman went into the meeting with his number at $4.8 million while the team, strapped for cash went in at $2 million, clearly quite far apart after a solid 2022-23 campaign.
The result?
Reportedly, the hearing is done and Jeremy Swayman has a new contract with the Bruins, with the award to be revealed within the next 48 hours.
-
Swayman was stellar last season, posting a 24-6-4 record with a .920 save percentage and 2.27 GAA, but now, we wait and see what his new contract will look like.
