Now on top of getting a five-minute major and an ejection, McAvoy has been suspended for the NHL DOPS.

We knew the suspension would be less than five games as McAvoy had the hearing via phone call which is for suspensions less than five games.

While some may not agree on the length, the NHL is instilling a policy of no head shots which any player can be grateful for.
