The Arizona Coyotes are building one of the best young cores in the league, and with their passionate fan base, they could be heading into a very successful period in franchise history (if they can figure out the arena issue).
One shining star
While the likes of Logan Cooley and Dylan Guenther have fans excited for the future, it's the potential next captain of the team Clayton Keller that gives them hope for the immediate future.
In 2022-23, Keller put together his best season in the NHL, scoring 37 goals and 86 points in all 82 games played, and now, it appears he's becoming one of the NHL's most popular players.
Merchandise mover
According to the Coyotes Twitter page and Fanatics, Keller's jersey is currently the best selling one in the NHL's official store, but given the small market in Arizona, many fans simply don't believe it.
Given how beloved the design of the Coyotes jersey is, it's somewhat believable, and with Keller set to be the next captain and the face of the franchise, maybe it's not too farfetched at all, but given the likes of Crosby, Matthews, McDavid and so many others, many those critics are on to something.
