Awful crime committed by two former QMJHL players leads to 2+ years in prison
Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano, two former members of the Victoriaville Tigres, commit an awful crime and get sentenced to 2+ years in prison.
Nicolas Daigle has received a 32 month sentence, and Massimo Siciliano gets 30 months, for a disgusting crime they committed in 2021 while they were playing for the Tigres in the QMJHL.
Translated from French:
#JUSTICE l Two former Victoriaville Tigres players, Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano, received penitentiary sentences for the *** of a 17-year-old girl in 2021 after winning the QMJHL President's Cup. Daigle: 32 months Siciliano: 30 months.
Both players knew what they did was terribly wrong, and quickly pled guilty to the crimes. They will now be behind bars until 2027. Both Siciliano and Daigle had such bright futures ahead, after winning the President's Cup in 2021. It's unfortunate that they had to throw it all away by engaging in such despicable behaviour.
Translated from French:
Firm prison for ex-players of the Victoriaville Tigers: Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano, two ex-hockey players guilty of ***, do not escape prison. They were sentenced to more than two years of detention
Let this be a lesson for many young players out there who hope for a bright future in the NHL, that just one wrong move during a night out can ruin an entire career.
