Martin Jones, 33, stopped all 38 of the Penguins' shots, marking his 29th career shutout. Jones stepped up when the Leafs needed him, replacing the injured Joseph Woll.
Bertuzzi, with his three assists, wasn't the only hot player in Toronto. Max Domi also earned three points, including one goal, while Matthew Knies achieved a Gordie Howe hat-trick. Both Mitch Marner and William Nylander scored two points each, and McMann, Gregor, and Tavares each had a goal. Meanwhile, Holmberg, McCabe, Rielly, Timmins, and Robertson all had an assist.
Seeing many players on the roster contribute to the scoresheet is always a good sign. In the last three games, the Leafs scored 19 goals, which is truly impressive.
