The Toronto Maple Leafs are definitely one of many teams who are looking to improve their roster prior to the deadline in order to be a true contending team this season. While much of the focus has been on potential defensive additions, the Leafs have now been linked to three forwards.
The Leafs are already strapped for cash, so any potential trades would need to have some legwork on the opposite side of the Leafs. While it is likely that the Leafs are prioritizing adding a defenseman with Klingberg out, a potential trade for a forward could happen if they think that they are going to lose out on Nylander.
