If Rick Tocchet wasn't already unpopular enough in Vancouver, the revelation of his criminal past isn't doing him any favours.

Indeed, the coach was arrested and found guilty in 2007 for his involvement in an illegal gambling ring, and for trying to illegally cross $18,000 across the border.
For the record, Rick Tocchet was arrested and guilty for his role in an illegal gambling ring in 2007. He was arrested and guilty again in 2011 of making a false declaration while taking more than $18k in cash across a border.

This has unsurprisingly sparked worry from some fans, who were already unexcited about the new bench boss.
There had to be other candidates, right?

Unless Rick Tocchet turns the Vancouver Canucks into an immediate contender, it's doubtful he'll ever truly gain the appreciation of the fans.
