A new Byfuglien is making an NHL appearance very soon

The Winnipeg Jets and Byfuglien decided to end his contract in April 2020. As you may recall, Byfuglien was banned by the Jets for missing training camp in September 2019. He was given a personal leave of absence before being suspended without pay to help the Jets payroll cap. Byfuglien's dispute against the relocation was settled after his contract expired in November.

The huge defenseman was then a hot topic, although he hasn't been seen in the league since.

Thor Byfuglien, Dustin's second cousin, plays for the Chicago Steel. The 18-year-old left-handed blueliner is eligible for the 2022 NHL Draft in Montreal.

He has one assist in four games with the Steel. Thor is 5'9, compared to Dustin's 6'5.
