Hearing Toronto will be acquiring Chris Tanev's rights from Dallas
Heading back to the Dallas Stars in return will be a 2026 7th round NHL Draft pick and Max Ellis

As of now Chris Tanev is set to be a free agent on Monday but the Toronto Maple Leafs must be confident they can get a deal done before then. If they re-sign Chris Tanev he will be a massive boost to the Toronto Maple Leafs defense heading into next season.
