The Edmonton Oilers are looking to be aggressive buyers at the trade deadline after they saved their season from an awful start.

However, they may be interested in some addition by subtraction as one forward on the team is rumored to be causing problems.

Rift Developing Between Kane And Edmonton Oilers?

The forward involved is none other than Evander Kane. Kane has dealt with a series of personal issues that have followed him throughout his career.

He never seems to be able to settle with any one team for more than a couple of years before issues start to arise. According to recent rumors, that is exactly what is happening with Kane and the Oilers right now.

It appears both Evander Kanes past and the fact he's a competitive athlete have caught up to him in Edmonton. In a recent article, it was suggested there might be a rift between Kane and the rest of the Edmonton Oilers roster. #alleged #Dressing #Kane

The post Truth Behind the Alleged Kane and Oilers' Dressing Room Turmoil appeared first on NHL Trade Talk. Thanks to a report based on comments from a recent podcast, Evander Kane may have issues in the Oilers' dressing room. Here's what we know.

Kane Trade To Toronto Maple Leafs Makes Sense For Oilers

Given these recent rumors, many fans now believe that the winger could be on the trade block. Any team destined for the playoffs should be interested in Kane if he is in fact available. The 32-year-old power forward has 21 goals and 35 points in 55 games with the Oilers this season. One team that could be an ideal fit from the Oilers perspective is the Toronto Maple Leafs.

If the rumours of Evander Kane being done in Edmonton are true, could he be a sneaky buy-low option for the Maple Leafs?

Can't imagine Oilers would want to trade him within the conference, so it could be a match made it heaven

That being said, the Leafs really need help on the blueline as their defense has been quite bad this season.

Furthermore, they have dealt with a series of injuries, limiting the effectiveness of their already-thin defense.

Plus, with John Tavares suddenly showing signs of age-related decline, the team could be in the market for another center.

Whether or not that leaves them enough room to add a winger like Kane remains to be seen.
