The deal sends him to the Ottawa Senators where he may have hope of significant playing time in the near future after two solid seasons in the AHL with Bakersfield where he has tallied 54 points in 117 games, with the 21-year old still having a very bright future.
As for the Oilers, they get a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and the intriguing winger Roby Jarventie, who at 21-years old made his NHL debut a season ago with the Senators, tallying one assist over seven games played.
Ultimately, this isn't a move that's expected to impact the NHL level for either franchise immediately, but if one of these players can benefit from the change of scenery, it should be seen as a big win.
