Boston continues selling off their pieces as they head into a rebuild, with the latest player traded being veteran center Charlie Coyle.

The NHL Trade Deadline has seen its fair share of big deals. Mikko Rantanen is now in Dallas, Scott Laughton is in Toronto, and Dylan Cozens kicked things off today as a new member of the Ottawa Senators.
So the Bruins decided to get in on the fun as they try to change things up in Beantown.
The team has traded veteran center Charlie Coyle to the Colorado Avalanche for center Casey Mittelstadt, William Zellers, and a 2nd round pick.
Coyle, 33, has 22 points in 64 games this season (15G, 7A) with the Bruins.
He was drafted 28th overall by the San Jose Sharks in 2010 but was traded along with Devin Setoguchi for the blockbuster package that brought Brent Burns to California.
Spending seven seasons in Minnesota, he registered 242 points in 479 games (91G, 151A) and brought a solid two-way game to a Minnesota team that has never relied on a lot of flashiness in order to be successful.
He was then traded to Boston for Ryan Donato (another 2025 potential trade target) and has been there ever since. He's also spent seven years with the Bruins and registered 230 points in 452 games (96G, 134A) and was always a threat in the playoffs as well.
His ability to win face-offs, kill penalties, and resume give the Avalanche a big boost as they look to make a push in a very tough Central Division and grab a wildcard spot.
Mittelstadt, 26, is a former Top 10 pick with the Sabres in 2017 but never really reached the heights expected of him.
Enjoying a solid season in 2024-25, he has 34 points in 63 games (11G, 23A) and only has 230 points in 420 games with Buffalo and Colorado.
Not offering much defensively, he gets a chance to play with a revamped Avalanche lineup that includes Martin Necas, Jack Drury, Jimmy Vesey, as well as Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar.
Zellers, 18, is Colorado's 76th overall pick in 2024 and has yet to play in the NHL, currently with Green Bay of the USHL; he has 58 points in 40 games (37G, 21A) with 40 PIM.
