BREAKING: Devils and Sharks Make a Goalie Trade
Even though the trade deadline has passed, trades are still coming in as the backlog is finally getting reported.
Sharks Make A Deal With The New Jersey Devils Involving Goaltenders
The team decided to trade goaltender Kappo Kahkonen in exchange for goaltender Vitek Vanecek. NHL insider Kevin Weeks was first to report the news live on ESPN.
The Sharks also acquired goaltender prosect Devin Cooley from the Buffalo Sabres. At this point, it seems as though the deal with the Devils is one for one.
Kahkonen has certainly been the better goaltender this year, so it is a but odd that New Jersey did not give up any additional assets. Stay tuned as the details of this trade are still coming in.
