Nikita Zadorov Rejects Trade To NHL Canadian Team

The Calgary Flames lost yet another game in their frustrating season. This was the breaking point for one of their best defensemen who quickly requested a trade.

Zadorov Demands A Trade Out Of Calgary

After the Flames' latest loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Nikita Zadorov made a shocking statement. He publically asked for trade which is not often seen in the NHL. Shortly after his request he was immediately linked to a new home.





Since the announcement was made a new report has taken one NHL team out of the running for Zadorov's services.

Zadorov Rejects Canadian Team's Trade Interest

A new source has gotten new information on Zadorov's wishes for his new location. Remember Zadorov is a pending free agent so he might have more control over his next destination. Zadorov is reportedly not interested in staying in Canada outside of one destination.



With all of this in mind watch for American teams to be the main contenders for Zadorov's services. He will be highly coveted for his size, skating, and defensive abilities. This trade will likely take a while to develop and could happen as late as the trade deadline.
