The Boston Bruins enjoyed the most successful regular season in franchise history, setting an NHL record for the most wins of all time.
However, the Bruins also fell victim to the biggest upset of all time, squandering a 3-0 lead to the Florida Panthers and ultimately losing the series in Game 7.
Naturally, this will prompt some changes from Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney. It seems Sweeney is keen to add another star to their lineup.
According to Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, the Bruins are reportedly interested in acquiring Oilers' star forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

The Boston Bruins are expected to pursue Ryan Nugent-Hopkins as their big «off-season swing» in order to try and make another run at a Stanley Cup. Per, Jimmy Murphy.

In exchange, the Bruins are willing to trade Matt Grzelcyk, and have already been attempting to shop Taylor Hall.
Now 30, Nugent-Hopkins was the Oilers' 1st overall pick in the 2011 NHL Draft. Last season, he scored 37 goals and made 67 assists, making him a potential major acquisition for the Bruins.
However, Oilers General Manager Ken Holland recently signed Nugent-Hopkins to an 8-year, $41 million contract with a full no-movement clause until 2028-29. Thus, for any trade to materialize, Nugent-Hopkins would need to want to move to Boston.
