Vegas Golden Knights Accused of Cheating

In recent seasons, we saw teams taking advantage of the Salary Cap during the playoffs to activate injured players.

The one that comes to mind is Nikita Kucherov in the 2021 playoffs. When he was activated, the Lightning were millions over the cap.

This maneuver got criticized by many, and while teams have the right to do so, accusations of cheating were directed towards the Bolts from everywhere.

It seems another team is going to use the same loophole in the rules to activate an injured player.

Vegas Golden Knights Accused of Circumventing the Salary Cap

Earlier today, Knights' captain Mark Stone was seen on the ice for the first time since he's been placed on LTIR.

Many question the timeline of his return.

The injury was real; we're not saying otherwise, but it's true that the timing couldn't be better for the Knights.

If Stone comes back, Vegas will be above the cap.

Gary Bettman mentioned earlier in the season that teams would be monitored closely regarding this issue.

We should hear about this soon if the league finds something suspicious surrounding all this.
