Jeremy Swayman was shelled for six goals against the Buffalo Sabres and while the boos rained down, he was seen giving an earful to his teammates on his way out.

It's safe to say that the Buffalo Sabres came to play on Sunday afternoon, as they started off hot and never let up. After a blistering four-goal first period, they didn't let up and cruised to a 6-1 victory. It was a complete effort top to bottom from Buffalo as they pushed the Bruins to the brink of elimination.
But no one was more upset than Jeremy Swayman, as the Bruins goaltender was furious that not only did he let in six goals — a rough look for any goalie — but was incensed that his team did absolutely nothing to stop the onslaught in front of him.

Jeremy Swayman loses his mind on the Bruins after allowing six goals

It was so bad in fact, that Swayman decided everyone needed a piece of his mind:
While it wasn't exactly clear what was said, it's a good assumption to say that he wasn't saying thank you.
Swayman, 27, gave up six goals on 35 shots and was not helped at all by the Bruins' 25 PIM either. It wasn't a shutout but it's pretty close to it, and the Sabres have to feel great heading into Game Five where they hold all the cards.
He was outstanding in the regular season though. Swayman went 31-18-4 with a 2.71 GAA and .907 SV% and proved that he was worth every penny of his massive extension he signed last year.
But you can't really blame Swayman for his outburst, considering that Charlie McAvoy went an unsightly minus-4, meanwhile David Pastrnak, Morgan Geekie and Elias Lindholm had a combined minus-7; it was bad from top to bottom with the stars disappearing.

Does Swayman's anger towards his teammates going to cause a locker room shift?

Well knowing that the Bruins were doing pretty good this season after a rough 2024-25, the last thing they need is their goaltender going full nuclear. I am sure he will get over this in due time but for a guy who struggled so much last year, only to get trounced and on the brink of being sent home — he's deservedly heated.
But this could also prove to be the start of some cracks already in the Bruins locker room. What if Swayman doesn't trust that David Pastrnak or Nikita Zadorov anymore? Is he starting to wish the team still had Brandon Carlo?
Those questions are going to lead into the summer and if Swayman is eliminated in rough fashion like he was on Sunday, you aren't going to hear a guy who is just frustrated about a playoff loss; but a guy who genuinely resents his teammates' efforts.
There's lots of time for things to be figured out, but right now it seems like the best course for the Bruins is to stay as far away from Swayman as possible — lest they find themselves on the end of another verbal lashing.
