Jack Eichel has been ejected from the game for spearing Kirill Kaprizov

The play occurred as both forwards were skating up the ice next to one another. Jack Eichel trying to defend Kirill Kaprizov got his stick into the chest of the Russian star. After placing his stick along the chest of Kirill Kaprizov, Jack Eichel seemed to dig his stick into his opponent's chest. Kirill Kaprizov would end up falling and play was stopped shortly after.

The referees eventually got together and determined that the actions from Jack Eichel were deserving of a five-minute penalty and an ejection from the game. As often comes with an ejection Jack Eichel could now face further punishment from the NHL's Department of Player Safety.

With Jack Eichel in the locker room unable to help his team the Vegas Golden Knights now trail the Minnesota Wild 1-0 in the second intermission. As any further updates become available regarding Jack Eichel's disciplinary future we will pass that information along to you.
