NHL Insider Frank Seravalli believes that the Utah Mammoth could end up finding a partner for Lawson Crouse, and the Maple Leafs should be looking to jump in.

There are a whole bunch of ways that the Maple Leafs can add to their team this summer to change that ever so vital DNA. Some big name free agents might be able to be persuaded and the trade market is certainly a viable possibility as well.
Which is why the team should look into trying to add someone who would add a much needed dose of size and bring about lots of change: Lawson Crouse.

Lawson Crouse may be up for trade: Frank Seravalli

According to The Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, he mentioned the Utah Mammoth might have a few pieces they are looking to part with and besides Mattias Macelli; they might also be willing to part with Crouse:
Aside from Mattias Macelli, I wonder if Lawson Crouse might be a guy you can pluck off the Utah roster. - Frank Seravalli

A bit easier said than done, if Utah wants to make a mammoth (no pun intended) splash this year in free agency, they need to open up some space and Crouse might become a casualty.
He does make $4.3-million for this season and the next, and while that's not the most expensive deal on the market, the team has a lot of money they need to put towards extensions, or making a last minute pitch to Mitch Marner.
So how can the Maple Leafs get their hands on him?

Toronto should trade veteran depth for Lawson Crouse

It won't be easy, but the Maple Leafs could put a package together involving someone like Max Domi or David Kampf; a cheaper veteran with a few years left who can help mentor some younger players.
They have a chance to bring in a 6'4, 220+ pound power forward who crushes opponents, is capable of putting up 15-20 goals a season, with solid enough defense.
He would stick out like a sore thumb compared to the third liners Toronto had this season, and fits seamlessly into Craig Berube's system.
Utah does probably want to hold onto him as much as they can, but with a chance to be a real difference maker this summer, there comes a time where you need to bite the bullet and part with some solid players in order to bring in a star.
Crouse, 27, had a down year offensively with only 18 points in 81 games (12G, 6A) but was coming into this year with three straight 20-goal seasons under his belt. In 585 games he has 215 points (115G, 100A) with 1,576 hits with Arizona and Utah.
