NHL Insider Chris Johnston dropped a bombshell regarding teams working on potential trades as the 4 Nations Faceoff winds down.

It's going to be a highly anticipated rematch between Team USA and Team Canada in the 4 Nations Faceoff Finals.
As teams are starting to get back to practice and back to business as usual, NHL Insider Chris Johnston gave us a bit of insight into when we can start seeing some action take place.
While the #4Nations tournament continues in Boston, NHL teams are officially back to work tomorrow. Players who were on break effectively have to report back to work by 2 p.m. for the resumption of practices and other team activities.

The regular season resumes Saturday.
So with teams looking to get things rolling again: What are some potential moves we can see in the future?

Trade Deadline Frenzy Going To Start Early

First and foremost, it's not like teams are going to head into Tuesday and start making blockbuster deals.
Clearly a lot of work has to be done, though a lot of heavy lifting was done during the 4 Nations no doubt.
For example, the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to be expected to be big players in the trade market.
Linked to premium names like Brayden Schenn and Dylan Cozens; everyone believes Toronto is going to make a splash.
But what about other teams?
We've already seen Carolina try and beef their lineup with Mikko Rantanen and Taylor Hall. J.T. Miller headed back to New York, and we already have seen names like Kaapo Kakko sent away.
So who else could be on the move? Let's look at some potential names:
Brandon Tanev
Elias Pettersson (VAN)
Yanni Gourde (SEA)
Noah Dobson (NYI)
Nick Robertson (TOR)
Scott Laughton (PHI)
John Gibson (ANA)
It's likely several of these names are going to be on the move, and don't be surprised if teams like Toronto, Dallas, New Jersey, Vegas, and Edmonton to all make plays for these targets.
We have just under three weeks until the deadline, and it feels like the season just started a couple of months ago. The year has flown by, and before long teams are going to have the deadline knocking on their door.
If things don't start getting fired up soon, expect it to act like a time bomb with the detonation set for 3PM on March 7.
