Arizona State University Sun Devils player Matthew Mayich remains in the hospital after suffering heat stroke during a workout conducted by a former Green Beret.
Just moments ago, alleged footage from the workout was published online. Arizona Family Sports is the one that published this footage. As you can see in the clip below, players were doing plank exercises.
While the movements aren't particularly intense, the environment was simply too hot to conduct such a workout. As Mayich's parents have made clear, the hockey player suffered exertional heat stroke.
He subsequently went into a coma as he lost oxygen flow to his brain. A lawyer for the Mayich family has made the claim that he will not recover. Although he remains alive at this time.

Mayich has received an outpouring of support from the hockey world over the past few weeks. Many have rallied around him and have shown support during this battle.
Arizona State University has released statements regarding the situation, where they have said that they are hoping for the best for Mayich and his family.
It has been reported by Sportsnet and other reputable publications that none of the coaches submitted a training plan prior to the workout. Furthermore, it was suggested that Mayich fell ill towards the end of the workout when medicine balls were brought in.
While there have been initial findings, authorities inside and outside of the school have yet to present an official conclusion on how this all happened.
There have also been calls for the coaching staff at ASU to resign in the aftermath of all this, but no such decision has been made. By all accounts, the Sun Devils plan to go on with their season.
