The Lightning have placed forward Nikita Kucherov on the injured list.
This saves them $9.5 million in payroll... We are in the same situation as last season. They can now afford Jack.
That doesn't mean Kucherov will miss the entire season, but it's not good news. He probably will miss the whole season and come take over the Stanley Cup playoffs like last year.
Of course, the Lightning's star forward missed the whole regular season last year, returning only for the playoffs and a second Stanley Cup with his team.
He scored 32 points in 23 games last series.
Jokes aside. When will the Sabres trade Jack Eichel. It is taking too long.
