The Canadiens' Paused Activities Extended

The Montreal Canadiens announced as well as their AHL affiliate Laval Rocket have extended the pause on all activities as a preventative measure to January 8th inclusively with Omicron running rapid throughout the league.

The Canadiens last home game was December 16th vs the Flyers but didn't have fans in attendance. They also postponed a game vs the Islanders before Christmas.
The NHL has now postponed Canadiens scheduled home games that were scheduled for January the 6th, 8th, 10th and 15th. The team's next schedule game is January 12th in Boston. The Canadiens next practice will be held on Sunday, January 9th in the Sports complex.
The Laval Rocket home games on Jan. 7th and 8th have also been postponed. The Canadiens as well as their affiliate Rocket have a total of 22 members who are in Covid Protocol this includes players and coaching staff.
Canadiens/Rocket Covid list:
Forwards : Cam Hillis and Michael Pezzetta join Brandon Baddock, Paul Byron, Laurent Dauphin, Jake Evans, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Mike Hoffman, Artturi Lehkonen, Tyler Toffoli and Jesse Ylonen along with Defensemen: Louie Belpedio, Ben Chiarot, Joel Edmundson, Gianni Fairbrother, Jeff Petry, Alexander Romanov, David Savard and Chris Wideman, and Goaltenders: Jake Allen, Sam Montembeault and Cayden Primeau.
Assistant coach Trevor Letowski and goaltending coach Eric Raymond are currently in the COVID-19 protocol as well.
