The Calgary Flames have cut players Cody Eakin and Sonny Milano from their professional trial.
This is a bigger surprise for Milano, who had a good season with the Ducks last year, scoring 34 points in 66 games.
As for Cody Eakin, the 11-year NHL veteran had 12 points in 69 games last season with the Buffalo Sabres.
In both cases, they will most likely have to look to the AHL or Europe.
