It's a special Night in TD Gardens as the Boston Bruins honored Willie O'Ree tonight having his number retired before the game between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes.
Willie O'Ree was a trail blazer he helped set equality in the NHL being the first colored player in NHL History. O'Ree paved the way for players like Anson Carter, Pk Subban, Anthony Duclair and Evander Kane, this was truly an historic night for the NHL.
