There is a rather troubling situation that has been on everyone's lips since the beginning of the day, as Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Ian Cole has been accused of sexual assault.
In an effort to work with the NHL, and for obvious reasons, the Lightning announced that Cole was suspended indefinitely.
« The Tampa Bay Lightning is aware of the charges against Ian Cole and we will cooperate fully with the NHL during the investigation. Our organization takes these charges very seriously. While we continue to gather more information, we have made the decision to suspend Ian Cole until the results of the investigation are known. No one in the organization, not even the players, will be commenting on the matter in the future. »
