The untouchables in Chicago this season were captain Jonathan Toews, defenseman Seth Jones, and star forward Patrick Kane. According to Scott Powers of The Athletic, Kane and Toews will not be dealt (unless they demand to be moved).
Since then, rumors have circulated that Kane may consider leaving Chicago to try again for a championship. Fans know Kane loves Chicago and their run from 2010 to 2015 was thrilling. Similarly, Toews hasn't played since January 26th due to a concussion.
If the trade rumors have fans scared, Adam Proteau of The Hockey News has the latest update. And he thinks Kane and Toews wearing another NHL team jersey won't happen.
The team and the two stars would have to be extremely unhappy for Toews and Kane to be traded before this, or any other deadline.
Also:
«Winning three Stanley Cups reinforced Toews and Kane's ties to Chicago. It will be difficult for the Hawks management to break those relationships, especially if both players want to stay in Chicago.»
