After GM Kent Hughes' news conference, a fight broke out on the ice, with Alexander Romanov swinging at Cedric Paquette.

Marc-Andre Perreault of TVA Sports heard the commotion and saw teammates separate the two players in the mix.

«Paquette got testy after Romanov rode him into the boards during a mini-game,» said TSN's John Lu. In the subsequent melee, Romanov punched and shoved.
