Let's start from the beginning.
In 2010, two unknown athletes were allegedly sexually molested by then-video coach Brad Aldrich. Aldrich was fired from the team, but he left with a letter of recommendation and a solid reference. Aldrich would go on to conduct other crimes while working for the NCAA and was convicted. The abuse may have halted if Bowman or someone else in the Blackhawks organisation had reported it to the authorities. As it stands, the Blackhawks enabled a sexual predator. The athlete's lawsuit alleges that the Blackhawks not only did nothing to stop the abuse revealed by a former player last month, but instead gave Aldrich a favourable reference letter.
Mark Lazerus learned from star player Patrick Kane on the NHL Media Tour that he «has engaged in the Jenner & Block investigation.» Called the allegations "disturbing" and said he "feels for" John Doe.
Man, this isn't something you see everyday.
